Hi, I’m Maria José! I’m 17 and from Bolivia. I’m someone who enjoys staying active, going to the gym, playing soccer, and finding new ways to express myself , whether that’s through theater, public speaking, or writing and producing my own music. I care deeply about people and love being part of meaningful conversations and shared experiences. I also enjoy school and have a growing interest in economics and entrepreneurship, which is why I chose that academic track in my final year. I was inspired to go on exchange by a girl from my school who had an incredible Greenheart experience in New York State, and ever since, I’ve wanted to live something like that for myself. I’m really excited to be part of a host family, join clubs, try new things, and discover what everyday life in the U.S. is like. Thank you for this opportunity, I can’t wait to be there!
