Greenheart Brings Cultural Exchange to UNITED: The National Conference on School Leadership

Earlier this month, July 11-13, Greenheart attended the National Conference on School Leadership, hosted by the National Association of Elementary School Principals (NAESP) and National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP). Located in Seattle, the 2025 UNITED Conference is far more than a meeting—it’s a community where you can engage deeply with peers, gain insights from distinguished leaders across the educational spectrum, and acquire actionable strategies to empower your schools. Whether you’re seeking to connect, be inspired, or simply revitalize your leadership approach, UNITED serves as your one-stop destination, tailoring its programming to meet you where you are in your journey.

Let’s hear more from Sarah Flynn, School Relations Manager, Greenheart Exchange!

The UNITED Conference brings together Elementary and Secondary school principals, assistant principals, and other school administrators to connect and focus on professional growth. It’s a great opportunity for administrators to meet with other school leaders and enhance their skill sets for the coming academic year. Attendees can expect to get inspiration and motivation from colleagues while learning from top-notch speakers and exhibitors. Key areas of focus include building leadership capacity, instructional leadership, leveraging student voice and agency, school climate, cultural, and inclusivity, and whole school wellness.

Greenheart was proud to showcase our exchange programs, highlighting the Teach USA and High School programs to help bring cultural exchange into U.S. classrooms. Over the course of a few days, Greenheart connected with numerous administrators to share stories and expand knowledge about Greenheart programs throughout the U.S.

Greenheart’s Teach USA Program Recruits International Talent

Greenheart’s Teach USA program brings highly qualified, experienced educators from all over the world to U.S. classrooms to enhance cultural exchange and give your students the world. Over the course of 3-5 years, teachers can expect to sharpen their professional skills while engaging in meaningful cross-cultural activities to enhance cultural exchange. Participating teachers are experienced in a wide range of subjects including STEM, Special Education, World Languages, and Elementary Education.

Celebrating the 40th Anniversary of Cultural Exchange

Greenheart is proud to celebrate our 40th anniversary, as we began our High School program in 1985 with helping seven Spanish students find host families and attend school in the U.S. on the BridgeUSA J-1 cultural exchange visa. Greenheart’s High School program brings High School students to U.S. classrooms while living with U.S. host families. Now, we welcome hundreds of students from all over the world into U.S. host families and schools.  Greenheart looks forward to another 40 years of bringing cultural exchange to U.S. classrooms through the Teach USA and High School programs.

Thank you, Sarah, for representing Greenheart at the UNITED Conference and sharing an update on our participation!
