I don’t see a student exchange program as just a chance to study abroad. At 15, I’m at a transformative age, and I view this opportunity as a vital step in opening up a new world for myself—one where I can immerse myself in another culture, experience true independence for the first time, refine my future aspirations, and grow into a more confident and capable person. My goal is to become a journalist who shares Mongolia’s story with the world, and I believe this exchange can be a meaningful bridge toward that dream. Rather than only seeing a country through a screen or on a brief trip, I long to truly experience it—by living with an American host family, learning from inspiring teachers, building friendships, and absorbing life in its streets and seasons. I want to feel the texture of cultural differences and witness the realities of another society firsthand, knowing that this journey will shape not only my career, but also the person I am becoming. #191876
