Job fairs are just one way Greenheart Exchange helps our Host Organizations interview and select seasonal staff they host in the coming summer. With Greenheart’s International Job Fairs, Host Organizations travel with Greenheart in order to conduct in-person interviews with candidates and hire the seasonal staff they need in just four days. Greenheart works with our partners to ensure candidates are pre-screened for their English language proficiency and prepared for the job for which they are interviewing. Our international candidates enjoy meeting representatives of their potential Host Organizations and discussing their previous experiences. Host Organizations like meeting candidates face-to-face to select the staff that is best for their business and getting a chance to experience the culture of countries from where they hire seasonal staff.

Spanish Cultural Immersion and Volunteering!
Our final Job Fair for the Summer 2026 season ended with a visit to our partner in Madrid, Spain, Let’s Live Speaking School. Our itinerary was packed full of cultural immersion, connecting people to planet through volunteering, and delicious Spanish eats! The host organizations that participated were Evelyn Hill, Hershey Entertainment & Resorts, Canobie Lake Amusement, and Grand Geneva Resort. Job Fairs at Greenheart Exchange further deepen the bench with opportunities to engage in local culture while Host Organizations also get to conduct in-person interviews.
Our cultural day and volunteer activity coincided with Valentine’s Day. We took a bus ride an hour north of Madrid to Heliconia. It is a non-profit focused on ecological restoration, reforestation, and environmental awareness and education. We built birdhouses and learned about the species that may inhabit them. As part of Spanish culture, we embraced a slower pace. We took a siesta before enjoying a walking food tour around Madrid. At the last stop of the tour, we enjoyed traditional paella. Also, Let’s Live USA surprised us with a thoughtful Valentine’s Day card from the team.
Greenheart’s Job Fair in Madrid
After a few days of getting a glimpse of life in Spain, the highlight was the Job Fair. We were excited to see 125 participants coming to Madrid to be interviewed across four Host Organizations. The participants were eager to learn more about their organizations. They are excited to spend their summer in the United States while on the Summer Work and Travel program. Let’s Live USA set the participants up for success in their interviews. They brought positive attitudes and presented resumes to our Host Organizations.
