I’m Anastasiia, a 20-year-old from Ukraine. I’m going to tell you about my best day yet in the United States! In life there are many experiences that you will never forget, and for me, this summer is one of those experiences. Many people can tell you about an unforgettable experience, new friends, or exchanges in the United States.

I’m going to share an American memory that will forever be in my heart.

I’ve never been to an amusement park before, and I was so excited to experience something new! My Ukrainian friends and I decided to visit one of the best amusement parks: Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio.

The day started at 10 a.m. with a delicious ice cream cone from the friendly park staff. Throughout the day we went on a total of 15 steel roller coasters. The park’s most dangerous steel roller coaster is Millennium Force. The roller coaster has a 310 ft. (94 m), 45-degree hill with a 300 ft. (91 m) drop and features two tunnels, three overbanked turns, and four hills. It has a top speed of 93 miles per hour (150 km/h). Dragster, “the tallest and fastest roller coaster on earth,” is 420 ft. (130 m) tall and accelerates up to 120 miles per hour (193 km/h) in just 3.8 seconds.
The perfect end to the day was the 11 p.m. colored fireworks, and my tears of joy that followed. In that moment, time seemed to stop. Upon seeing incredible beauty, high rides, and happy faces, my life immediately changed. Thanks for this opportunity!
