Reporting on the 2022 Greenheart Job Fair in Thailand

It’s been a minute since Greenheart hosted one of our International Job Fairs. Too many minutes! So when our team traveled with three of our Host Organizations to Thailand in November, we were thrilled!  Here’s Chris, an Account Management Coordinator with Greenheart, to tell us a bit and share some photos of this first post-COVID Greenheart Job Fair!

Our first in-person job fair in a few years was a success! We traveled to Bangkok, Thailand with three of our host organizations, who interviewed and hired participants. Traveling to a participant’s home country and experiencing first-hand their culture has a positive impact on bridging the culture gap and empathizing with seasonal staff who travel to the United States.

In addition to the job fair interviewing/hiring event, we were happy to spend time with our sending agency, Discover Higher, who has been busy recruiting potential participants over the past few months. When we travel, we like to give back to the community. So, for the Greenheart Project and Culture Day, we volunteered with Paper Rangers making notebooks for underprivileged kids using recycled paper, toured The Grand Palace, and ended with a Thai massage.

PS – Sticky Rice was our favorite dessert – we highly recommend it to anyone traveling to Thailand!

Thanks Chris for sharing and a special thanks to our Host Organizations, Sending Agencies, and all the folks who came out to the Job Fair.
