Where the Charter Movement Meets: NCSC 2026

The National Charter Schools Conference (NCSC) 2026, held June 24–26 in New Orleans, brought together educators, leaders, and advocates from across the country for the largest annual gathering in the charter school community. Greenheart staff Mirelle Patrey and Sarah Flynn connected with many school administrators and staff from across the U.S. to share the success of Greenheart’s Teach USA program and how our educators can enhance cultural exchange in the classroom and give your students the world.

Designed specifically for the Charter School sector, the conference focused on what matters most collaboration, innovation, and student success. Attendees explored practical strategies, gained insight into policy changes, and learned from real-world school success stories they can apply immediately.

Beyond the sessions, NCSC created space for meaningful networking and idea-sharing, leaving participants inspired, informed, and ready to lead what’s next in charter education.

A Note for School Leaders

As staffing challenges remain top of mind, conferences like NCSC highlight the importance of creative, sustainable solutions. One option gaining traction among charter schools is partnering with programs like Greenheart Exchange’s Teach USA, which connects schools with highly qualified international teachers who bring global perspectives and diverse instructional approaches into the classroom.

These educators not only help fill hard-to-staff roles but also enrich school communities through cultural exchange and innovation. Schools can host international teachers while maintaining standard salary structures and expanding opportunities for students.

Thank you, Sarah and Mirelle, for representing Greenheart at the NCSC and sharing an update on our participation!
