Another week, another Greenheart World’s Fair! Greenheart staff members were joined by interviewers representing Grand Geneva Resort and Timber Ridge, Sugarbush Resort and Sun Valley for another round of in-person interviews. The four travelers came to Chicago to interview winter participants for their seasonal positions; everything from housekeepers and food and beverage assistants to lift operators and ski instructors.
Host Organizations Fulfil their Seasonal Hiring Needs with Greenheart World’s Fair
Throughout the two days of interviews, about 130 participants from across Latin America and Asia were interviewed and 120 were successfully hired. Two Greenheart employees were on hand to answer any questions throughout the event. From technical troubleshooting to tracking down missing participants, the Greenheart employees assisted in the smooth running of the interview days. With winter resorts traveling to this event, skiing and snowboarding were on the mind! The host organizations in attendance exchanged stories about their favorite mountains and heartwarming tales of participants seeing snow for the first time. Two interviewers found out that they had crossed paths before, but this was their first time ever meeting!
Time to Enjoy Beautiful Chicago!
It wouldn’t be a Greenheart World’s Fair without an excursion out into the city! Travelers and Greenheart staff took a break from the interviews for an evening of culture. The first stop was The Art Institute of Chicago where many travelers bonded over their love of Impressionism – something The Institute has in spades! Everyone got to see famous paintings like A Sunday on La Grand Jatte, American Gothic, and a personal favorite, The Dugout by Norman Rockwell.
Before walking to dinner at the very popular Dearborn, travelers had the chance to walk through Millenium Park to see everyone’s favorite large sculpture, the Bean. While a quick stop, the Bean always stuns with panoramic views of downtown Chicago. And also happens to be the perfect spot for a selfie.
A Successful Hiring Event!
After a fun and productive couple of days, travelers departed from Chicago to make their way home. While the sun was shining and the temperature was in the 80s, excitement for the winter season was palpable. The thought of fresh snow and new participants cooled down travelers as they left the city. Thank you to these wonderful interviewers for taking the time to travel to Chicago and for their dedication to cultural exchange.
