Forest Gump

Genre: Comedy-Drama

Forest Gump is a classic American movie that is inspiring yet funny. It is truly a movie that will help you understand the American Dream and the importance of love and self-expression. It is a lesson that you can learn from one man’s life.

The Notebook

Genre: Romance/ Drama

Are you a big fan of romantic movies? Then you need to check out The Notebook. It will give you historical background of the 1940s while telling you a touching love story that you will never forget.

Titanic

Genre: Romance/ Drama

This classic, heartbreaking, romantic movie is a must-watch before you come to the United States Every American loves or at least knows about the Titanic. A young man and a young woman fall in love despite the difference between their social classes. They go through much hardship to maintain their relationship while trying to survive a shipwreck. It is an intense yet classic American movie that you will remember for the rest of your life.

Up

Genre: Cartoon/ Adventure

Everyone needs a light-hearted adventurous cartoon movie in their life. Up is the one that you will love for sure. The adventure of a funny and intellectual old man and a brave and caring child is the best thing in the world. You will totally understand the crazy love and passion that Americans have for cartoons after you watch it.

Gone with the Wind

Genre: Romance/ War

Gone with the Wind is a movie that illustrates The Civil War from a woman’s perspective. It is based on Margaret Mitchell’s famous novel, which is a classic American southern masterpiece. It is definitely worth your time to watch.
